By choosing to become a member of the Nebraska League of Conservation Voters you are demonstrating a commitment to protect Nebraska’s natural heritage. By supporting the NLCV you are helping us to protect our land, air, water and quality of life for all Nebraskans, present and future. More specifically, your support helps us to:
- Endorse and elect pro-conservation candidates.
- Educate elected officials and their constituents on conservation issues important to the NLCV and its members.
- Lobby on behalf of reasonable, common sense conservation measures.
- Hold elected officials accountable for their performance with our annual legislative scorecard.
- Maintain a non-partisan political action committee (PAC) that supports strong, pro-conservation candidates.
As a member of the Nebraska League of Conservation Voters, you will receive quarterly newsletters providing you with pertinent information regarding legislative bills that are of environmental concern, information on land and resource conservation initiatives across Nebraska, as well as resources that can help you take action in your local community to support land and resource conservation.
The NLCV will connect you
to your elected officials by publishing legislative reviews, conducting
candidate interviews, and providing you with annual scorecards that evaluate
your local officials’ performance on environmental and conservation-based
legislation. We will do everything
in our power to ensure that you know exactly where your legislative candidates
stand on environmental issues when it comes time to vote.
Membership also helps the NLCV to hold elected officials accountable. We publish a voter's guide and scorecard each election cycle that evaluates each Nebraska legislator's voting record on key environmental bills. It's an essential tool voters can use to separate pro-environment leaders from those who pretend to be.
The money raised through membership also helps us to educate voters by publishing quarterly newsletters that provide members with information regarding legislative bills, land and resource conservation initiatives across Nebraska, and resources to help members take action in promoting environmental stewardship within their community.
By joining the Nebraska League of Conservation Voters you are helping us to turn environmental values into public policy by educating elected officials and their constituents on environmental issues and by lobbying on behalf of reasonable, common sense conservation measures.
Click the "JOIN NLCV" icon on our Home Page to join on-line, or download the Membership Application and return it to us at 215 Centennial Mall South, Sutie 520, Lincoln, NE 68508.
